Received this from Memebox Winter Essential Mask box.
This is a wash-off facial pack  formulated from concentrates of  royal jelly extracts. The Pure Bubble Royal Jelly pack is also enriched with over 40 kinds of vitamins and minerals and helps treat acne-prone skin types by deeply cleansing the pores and nourishing damaged skin.

As you can see from the picture, it looks really cute on. Haha.

This comes out like a translucent white gel and once I applied on my skin, it starts to bubble up. I left it on for 10mins before washing it off. The bubbles do get lesser as the time goes on. It doesn’t feel like much on the skin, i just hear sounds of bubbles forming. When I washed it off, it washes of off like a mild foam cleanser. I did have to massage it through bursting all the bubbles. Do note that this is a one time use item. Once exposed to air, the gel bubbles up. I wanted to save up for 2nd use but it started reacting to air quite fast so I slathered everything on my face.

My skin feel nice and clean without feeling dry. Thats all. Nothing else. My pores and blackheads are still there. The bubbling action feels more like a gimmick than anything else. This functions more like a gentle cleanser in reality for my skin.
However, I do have to say that it was really fun having all that bubbling action. hehee.

Overall I think it worth a try for the fun factor. Otherwise, I don’t really think it did anything else other than basic cleansing.

Memebox Product Review: Kangskin Beauty Aqua Soothing Mask 50ml

wpid-1433082896379.jpgwpid-1433086602995.jpg

Got this from Memebox in their first Dermo-cosmetics box. This costs 10USD per mask. It has no preservatives and the mask is infused with stem cell activating and radiance enhancing ingredients to promote healthy and hydrated skin. This comes in 50ml which is more than the usual amount in face masks.

Quality of sheet mask: Great. Soft cloth-like material which is sturdy and is just right – not too thin nor too thick. Adheres to the skin very well – This could be due to the thick essence. The mask is a little too big for my face, theres plenty of excess especially on the edges and its hard to smooth it out.
What was surprising was that this comes with a patch for the neck! I could not read the korean words on the package and memebox card did not mention it. The neck patch had the same issue as the mask, hard to smooth it out. None of them slided off the face or fell off.

Essence: Thick clear liquid which was well soaked into the mask. I had the mask on for more than 30mins with fan on and it didn’t dry out fast. The unfortunate thing is that this left my skin sticky. It did hydrate my skin very well but i do not like the sticky after feel. This is not oily but rather too much hydration to the point where it left my skin sticky.

Scent: This is probably unscented. There is absolutely no fragrance to this. All i could smell was a faint clean hospital scent… i work in the hospital and if you have ever visited the typical hospital which is well cleaned with anti-bacterial cleaning agents which is not scented…..then this is the faint smell i detected.

Overall thoughts: I do think that this is a good mask overall but I would only use this if i were in a dry winter climate or when my skin is severely dry. This does hydrate the skin very well in my opinion. It is just too rich right now for me residing in hot humid Singapore.
I need to blot my skin right after and I definitely had to skip my usual skincare routine totally.

Pros
– Good mask sheet material
– Comes with a neck piece
– No drippy essence
– Hydrates the skin very well especially severe dry skin or in dry winter climate
– Appears to be unscented

Cons
– Doesnt fit well
– Left a sticky after feel

Memebox Product Review: JJOY Bubble Peeling Pad from Wish Formula

wpid-cymera_20150328_202214.jpgReceived this from Memebox Dermocosmetic 2

wpid-cymera_20150328_202305.jpg

This is an exfoliating pad which contains AHA and some fermented extracts which basically helps to remove dead skin cells and supposedly give you similar peeling/exfoliating effects as those done in doctors office.wpid-cymera_20150328_215738.jpg

The pad unfortunately decided to “exfoliate” itself at the back. The front of it is somewhat usable.

1. Consistency of liquid is watery and foams up alittle.

2. Smells a little foul/sourish…similar to some fermented skincare products. Tolerable to me, not strong at all.

3. I have sensitive skin and this did not sting my face.

4. Cleanses like normal gentle cleanser. Didn’t feel any exfoliating effects. My skin didn’t feel very smooth after that. Just nothing.

5. The other side of the sponge pad has a cloth netting which feels like it can be a physical exfoliating surface.

Overall thoughts: Not sure whether this didn’t work as well because the sponge pad broke on me. But then again, it was supposed to be AHA that is supposedly doing the job? Anyways, this did not work well on my skin as the product claims to be. Definitely would not repurchase.

Empties Review: Rimmel Lasting Finish 16hour Foundation in 200 Soft Beige

wpid-1431787791326.jpg

Texture:  A vicious liquid that does run slightly. Spreads easily over the skin.

Coverage: Light and buildable to Medium. Left my skin looking great and not cakey.

Longevity: 8 hours on my skin. Does not separate nor settle into pores. Does fade off somewhat a little. But overall good.

Scent: No strong or noticeable scent to me.

Color Match: This worked well for NC25-30 skin. Started to get a little too dark when I became fairer NC20.

Overall thoughts:I do not know about the 16hours claim as i don’t wear my foundation for that long. I do however wore it several times for 12hours. It does fade off more significantly after 8hours wear but I certainly did not look too bare faced. A good foundation that does not separate over time and settle into pores. I would say, this is a great daily basic foundation for me.
